VR Ping Pong Pro is now available on PSVR and PCVR systems.
VR Ping Pong Pro is table tennis in your VR headset, it replicates the real-life sport as close as it can do despite it sometimes not getting it quite 100%. The controls are fairly simple and I feel like the game gives you many options for your play style whether it be standing, sitting or being quite an energetic. The physics are okay, as a none table tennis player I enjoyed what I was doing but it took a while to learn the system and start enjoying it to the fullest due to that learning curve. While the gameplay is 50/50 the customisation is brilliant, you can customise your bat and ball the way you want to make it your own and become the VR table tennis pro you’ve always wanted with your own signature items. There is also multiplayer modes and other singleplayer modes if you want to throw the game up a bit and try different options.
The real highlight has to be the game’s design, while it’s a fun game at times, the backdrops and settings look phenomenal in VR. At some points the view was so nice I actually forgot to keep playing, it’s some of the nicest looking graphics in a VR game. Not only do the graphics look great but listening to the ambient sounds around you is also a lovely experience.
Due to PlayStation issues I was only able to get a few hours in, what I played was good, I will definitely be playing again. I hope to see more updates in the future just to make it a bit more accessible and smoother and easier to learn but what has been provided is enough to be worth buying.
