Oops, You’re The Hero places you in the shoes of a thief, fresh from his five-finger discount on a forgotten relic. Unknowingly, he has just been marked a hero. Superman seems happy; the thief, however, is more reluctant. Accompanied by your new, always-talking sidekick, Tut Puff, travel the mysterious lands of Othaya, where you will face a choice: do you stay and fight the monsters plaguing innocent villagers or run?

The style looks amazing and fits the game well. The concept is also solid; I like the way you can choose to embrace your inner hero or sneak out the back, Tut Puff will not like that, however. The dialogue is also perfect; as you progress through the lands of Othaya, new dialogue options open up depending on how you choose to progress. The writing reminds me of old-style RPGs with little comedic quips dotted throughout.

For the first in Nerdy Bird History, I am not going to score this. The game has huge potential; I feel it just needs more time to cook. I will not be a part of dragging someone’s work down for content. The way the world is, we need to be lifting each other up. However, I cannot recommend it in its current state. Once the game receives more polish, hopefully a save option, I’ll be back!
