Idle Tree Keeper, developed and published by Tobellino Games, is coming soon to Steam. You can find it HERE.

Idle Tree Keeper is a relaxing idle game where players must tend to a mystical tree, generating resources, unlocking upgrades, and evolving it. Players must assist a small Kodama, caretaker of a sacred tree at the heart of a once-thriving forest. By gathering magical seeds, you gradually restore life around the tree, transforming an empty, silent space into a lively and chaotic ecosystem full of flowers and curious creatures.
The tree home is quite bare when you first take a look at it. As you progress through prestige resets, you unlock and place furniture that grants permanent bonuses and new progression paths. Each new addition to your home will make it stronger and unique from other players’ homes. As seed production increases, tasks will become automated and new upgrades will be unlocked, ready for purchase. This will give you access to helpers and blessings like an arcane watering can, the favour of Pachamama, or a squirrel accountant who somehow makes forest taxes more manageable. Idle Tree Keeper can be played online and offline, so you’ll always be able to access the game no matter what.

Features:
- Relaxing, idle gameplay focused on steady, satisfying progression

The wonderful folk at Tobellino Games let me take a look at an early build of their upcoming game Idle Tree Keeper, and I have to say, it’s the perfect distraction. Inspired by the likes of Cookie Clicker, Idle Tree Keeper lets you care for a mystical tree while generating resources to upgrade the land around it.
Mining the tree manually at first may be slightly daunting, but once upgrades start rolling in and will be used on tools to ultimately build up the seed wallet amount. As time progresses and your seeds start stacking into the billions, you’ll start receiving golden seeds. These golden seeds are used to customise your tree, but each customisation adds a bonus; for example, you’ll get 15% more time with bonuses, or your spade will be 200% more useful. Each item has its own unique use. It makes you think a little about how you’re going to decorate your tree to utilise the best bonuses.

Overall, I enjoyed my time with Idle Tree Keeper. I like going back to it to see how my tree is doing from time to time. The only real issue is how addictive it can be, time will pass, and you’ll still be clicking away, upgrading, decorating and grabbing as many seeds as you can. From a mental health aspect, I classify this game as a good distraction, as you can keep it on one of your monitors while busy, whether it’s on a call, writing, or video editing, the list is endless. It’s good at putting you in the moment when it comes to anxiety, which is also helpful.
