Hymble Ventures by Canine Games has received a new demo for the Steam Next Fest that starts today! Hymble Ventures is a wonderful game that I’ve had the pleasure to experience as it has developed. The game is a unique look back to platformers of old like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro The Dragon, however, Hymble Ventures is developed by neurodiverse folks to try and educate on how a neurodiverse person navigates day-to-day life. It is a special and unique insight into it all that I truly believe in and relate to, so I urge you to check it out, you can download the demo HERE.

For those who aren’t sure what Hymble Ventures is, below is a description of the story and features:

Hymble is a young, misunderstood bug from a small village which enjoys logging random creatures into their journal to fight off loneliness. However, they also wish they could be ‘normal’ and have real friends, their droid buddy Codee, and the creatures. When their hardworking dad asks for help picking fruit for lunch, Hymble gets sidetracked by rumours about a mysterious clone of alien gods (mistaken for a clown) lurking around their village. Driven by curiosity, Hymble sets out to find this stranger while dealing with their heightened sensory input a distracting voice in their head called Neurble.

  • Special Rainbow Moves: Create zorb balls, boomerangs and so much more.
  • Creatures: Discover bizarre, Pokemon-esque creatures and log them into your journal.
  • Exploration: Check out colourful and stylish worlds.
  • Collectibles: Gather quirky-shaped fruit that replenishes your sense perception bars.
  • Unique Progress: Keep an eye on sensory overload instead of traditional lives.
