Today’s Indie Game Spotlight is a scary one! Don’t Get Got, developed by Bossa Studios and published by Cult Games, is available on Steam now HERE.
Halloween is vastly approaching us, and Don’t Get Got is a multiplayer co-op game that might just be the perfect scare for you and your friends. You start off locked inside an unknown location with no clue how you got there. You and other players must collaborate to find a key and escape, but don’t be fooled, other players can deceive you when you no longer serve their needs.
Features:
Co-op multiplayer with up to 8 players
A large school with randomised objectives and safe rooms
Easy to learn, hard to master social deception gameplay
Intelligent creatures are out to get you
Tools to solve problems: scanner, flashlight and decoys
Proximity chat
Don’t Get Got will push players to the brink on who they can and can’t trust. Despite having to work together to escape, some will be helping the creatures that lurk behind the walls. Don’t Get Got can be described as similar to Among Us or Content Warning, a party kind of game that has a dark horror twist. Players describe it as being a great time with friends, and each time they play, the experience has always been different.
Don’t Get Got is a fun horror game to play with friends or strangers. Each game feels a lot different from the other, and I think that what makes these games good, for example, like Phasmophobia, no game is ever the same. Not only that, but the school where you have to do the tasks is intense; the design from Bossa Studios is quite scary.
It being Halloween, a game like Don’t Get Got is a good and scary time and has just had a major new update released. Here’s a word from the developer below:
Step Into the Threshold A brand-new hub area invites you to explore the eerie THRESHOLD RESEARCH INSTITUTE and its sprawling backrooms. Piece together hidden clues, unearth long-buried secrets, and uncover the truth about why you’re there.
Smarter, Deadlier Enemies We’ve reworked enemy AI for sharper, more unpredictable behavior. You won’t GET GOT quite as quickly, but don’t relax. They’re watching, waiting, and adapting. Multiplayer: Collaborate… or Sabotage The update adds new multiplayer features and tools, giving you more ways to work together—or to betray your friends when it matters most.
Quality-of-Life Fixes Expect UI refinements, multiplayer balancing tweaks, and bug fixes across the board for a smoother, more intense experience.
Hello, I'm Jake,
I have loved all things gaming since the SEGA Megadrive days. As a kid, teenager, young adult I loved playing games, but I always wanted more, I wanted to see what went on behind the scenes, talk to the amazing people who work in the industry. That's how I got into gaming sites and that's why I created my own.
