Sony has announced October’s free games for members with a PS Plus Essential, Extra or Premium PSN account.

  • Alan Wake 2
  • Cocoon
  • Goat Simulator 3

Alan Wake 2 from the studio that brought you Control, comes a psychological survival horror starring two protagonists in two very different worlds.

Saga Anderson is a gifted FBI agent called to the small Pacific Northwest town of Bright Falls to investigate a series of ritualistic murders. Alan Wake is a writer who has spent years trapped in the Dark Place, a terrifying alternate reality that can be reshaped by his words. Although they have never met, the two are connected across separate realities, their actions able to change their respective worlds. When the events depicted in a horror story cause Bright Falls to become engulfed in a corrupting, supernatural darkness, both Anderson and Wake must use the power of light to survive – and to protect the ones they love. In a reality-bending world of victims and monsters, can they become the heroes of this story?

Cocoon is a unique take on the puzzle adventure genre, where each world exists within an orb that you can carry on your back. Wrap your head around the core mechanic of leaping between worlds—and combine, manipulate, and rearrange them to solve intricate puzzles.

From Jeppe Carlsen, the lead gameplay designer of LIMBO and INSIDE, COCOON takes you on an adventure across worlds within worlds. Master world-leaping mechanics to unravel a cosmic mystery.

Goat Simulator 3 Pilgor is joined by other goats, too. You can invite up to three friends in local or online co-op, create carnage as a team, or compete in mini-games and then not be friends anymore.

Get ready for another round of udder mayhem. Lick, headbutt, and ruin your way through a brand new open world in the biggest waste of your time since Goat Simulator! We won’t tell you how to play (except in the tutorial), but merely provide the means to be the goats of your dreams.

That concludes your monthly PS Plus update. All games are free from October 7th and stay yours to keep as long as you have an active PS Plus Essential, Extra or Premium subscription.
