The time is nigh, our wallets cry in fear of the upcoming Steam sales that are filled with summer bargains! Do you know what that means? Time to tackle the wishlist full of games! Remember it really helps indie developers by leaving them a wishlist of games you like the look of!

5 – Stranded: Alien Dawn

I’ve had Stranded: Alien Dawn by Haemimont Games on my list for quite a while, here’s a quick synopsis: Brave a new world in Stranded: Alien Dawn, a planet survival sim placing the fate of a small marooned group in your hands. Forge your story through compelling and immersive strategic gameplay as you make vital decisions to protect your survivors from starvation, disease, extreme weather and more.

This game looks quite interesting, one that is slightly similar to the popular Rimworld. I have been loving survival games again lately and this one feels like it will change as you make difficult decisions and progress. Rewatching Battlestar Galactica with the family has given me this urge to play something where we have to start all over again in an alien-like world. If they made a Battlestar Galactica RPG I would love it. Check out the trailer below and see what you think!

4 – Sifu

Sifu by Sloclap is a game that I had seen launch on the PlayStation and the combat intrigued me quite a bit and the concept of every time you die you get older really was interesting. The story itself seems quite engaging and a game that seems to really be incredible once you master it, though it is tough.

Sifu is a realistic third-person brawler with tight Kung Fu combat mechanics and cinematic martial arts action embarking you on a path for revenge. Who doesn’t love a good revenge story right? The art style seems really quite unique and it all blends together so well, making for a very cinematic trailer. This is one that I might just pick up this Summer and you can check the trailer out below:

3 – Space Haven

Space Haven by Bugbyte LTD again scratches that big Battlestar Galactica game itch with a game in that players have to embark on a journey to find a new home. Players will build a spaceship, modify, run the ship, and micromanage everything to make sure you find a new home for your crew. For those who like management-style games and sci-fi, it truly is the game for you! The game is currently in early access so is evolving all the time!

Embark on a space voyage with your ragtag crew of civilians in search of a new home. Build spaceships tile by tile, create optimal gas conditions, manage the needs and moods of their crew, encounter other space-faring groups, and explore the universe in this spaceship colony simulation. 2 – Planet Crafter

Planet Crafter is another survival game this time by Miju Games, this one is another in which you must survive and terraform a planet ready for human life. This one again gives me those vibes I’ve mentioned above and it seems I’m in a space sci-fi mood this Summer. The game is in early access and has overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam right now.

A space survival open-world terraforming crafting game. Transform the ecosystem of a hostile planet to make it livable for humans. Survive, collect, build your base then create oxygen, heat and pressure to make a brand-new biosphere.

1 – DAVE THE DIVER

I found DAVE THE DIVER by Mintrocket this morning on an IGN article, it looks fantastic, a rogue-like game where you go deep sea diving looking for fish then at night run a Sushi Restaurant, and it’s not a space! DAVE THE DIVER looks like a title that you could get lost in for hours and I know this is one I will be getting as soon as possible, perhaps it would be a good Steam Deck title.

DAVE THE DIVER is a casual, single-player adventure RPG featuring deep-sea exploration and fishing during the day and sushi restaurant management at night. Join Dave and his quirky friends as they seek to uncover the secrets of the mysterious Blue Hole.
